About Uvita Christian Academy

Uvita Christian Academy (UCA) is the reality of an idea that was birthed in 2009 when Scott and Brigit Bogard first visited the Uvita, Costa Rica area.

At that time, Scott and Brigit were in search of a new place to live and settle down outside of the United States. Immediately, they saw the need for a Christian school that could teach students from different grade levels and abilities, offering programs, training in skills, and hands-on experience that weren’t available in the area.

Almost right away, they became excited and started planning the kind of bi-lingual school where the name of Jesus would be lifted up, and students could be taught the Word of God as part of their education and life-training.  They knew that teaching about environmental issues and sustainability would also be important to their students and families, especially because of the schools location in a biologically diverse place.

UCA is the perfect place for families who want their children to receive an excellent bi-lingual education while living or traveling overseas.  UCA provides a Biblical, Christian education for families who are committed to their faith in Christ, and is also strongly committed to sustainability.

No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve experienced, you’ll find that the staff and teachers of UCA are a warm and welcoming cluster of “Gringo” and “Tico” families, working together to offer the BEST in overseas education, with emphasis on bi-lingual training, and science.

UCA continues to grow and has unwavering commitment from its staff and teachers…UCA forges ahead to offer the “Premier, Private Bi-lingual Education” in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.

UCA also has a sister school in Pérez Zeledón, Victory Christian Academy. Visit www.victorychristianacademypz.org for more information!
